Hey everyone!! I grabbed my old set of golf clubs from my parents house last summer and want to try to get into golf again this year. The last time I played was maybe 2012?? It's been a while. When I grabbed my clubs, I had to toss my old bag because it was sitting in a shed and got really gross. The clubs were thankfully in good shape. A few weekends ago, I casually went into Dick's thinking I'll get a cheap bag. In my mind without even checking before hand I thought for sure there would be something for like $100 but no. The cheapest bag in the store was $200+. I was shocked. I just need a basic carry bag with some a few pockets, I had no idea how expensive they've become.
tl;dr does anyone have any recommendations on where to find a good but cheap golf bag? Or any sites to check for sales? I'm willing to pay up to $200~
Also, how essential are golf shoes nowadays? I see that almost every brand is more of a sneaker, I had a nike sneaker when I played in high school but don't know if I really want to buy one with cleats. It seems most are like a hard plastic type thing without those round cleats. Something that doubles as a sneaker would be nice. It's been over 15 years since I was in the know and had no idea how things changed.
