Everything Video Games!

It'll be $2500 by June at this rate
I was talking about the Switch pricing with a friend a little while ago and it's crazy how money seems to have changed in like 5 years. I bought my Switch on ebay because I didn't want to pay full price of $300 during covid. But then 2 years ago I happily chucked over $500 for an Xbox Series X like it was nothing. Lots of things are like $100 nowadays so looking at $300 for Switch seems reasonable to me. Not that the price increase is justifiable but I'm not surprised by the increase at all.

I'm talking tariffs more than NIntendo's launch price. Switch factoring inflation would launch around $400 today, so $450 for the Switch 2 is fine by me. There's talk of the Switch 2 being close to $700 if the current tariffs hold.

God is real
It’s a no-brainer to get the Mario Kart World bundle for $50 more vs. $70 for the game separately

God is real
Prices of all accessories, joy cons and controllers are going up tho.

Started Blue Prince on PS Plus this past week and finished the main objective to secure my inheritance on day 35 in-game. Pretty interesting to see the repeat run factor of roguelikes applied in a puzzle game. Was starting to get concerned I'd hit a rut but all it really takes is a couple of good runs to catapult your progress forth. Super chill game that you can spin records to.

I've been obsessed with Blue Prince. GotY candidate for sure imo. This year's Balatro without the gambling addiction.

I’ve already put in about 6 hours on Lunar Silver Star Story. For whatever reason GungHo decided not to work with Victor Ireland from Working Designs to use the original voice actors. It’s a bummer but it doesn’t ruin the overall thrill of playing these games on a modern system. This “remaster” is from the PS1 versions which I never played, only the Sega CD releases.

Will this be a PS5 situation where it’ll be hard to get your hands on one for a while?
It's hard to say. Nintendo had about 25m lined up for production for year one, but with tariff nonsense who can say how that may impact their decision-making? It SHOULD be fairly easy, but then again bots may end up taking a lot of stock. So it's really down to the retailers and their bot prevention.

I didn't have any issues getting a PS5 with a bit of fanatic devotion to forums/twitter for a bit. I don't anticipate struggling too much to get one this week.
