Really enjoyed the SNL Homecoming concert special overall, but I wish they would have let Robyn perform ‘Dancing On My Own’ solo all the way through. That started out as such a killer performance, and as much as I love David Byrne, I don’t feel like he added enough to the second half to really justify his inclusion. It was still great though.

I’ve now seen “A Complete Unknown” 3 times. There’s probably only one or two other films I’ve ever paid money to see in a theater 3 times. It’s not the best film released in 2024, but it is the film that I enjoyed the most from 2024. And as a Dylan fan, I’m thrilled with the way the movie turned out.

It happens every year. I’m kicking myself for not listening to Mary Timony’s release from 2024 in time to include in my year end list. No shade to the Kim Deal album because I really like that record too, but the sound of “Untame the Tiger” is closer to what I was expecting on “Nobody Loves You More”. Both are great listens.

Digging the new Bob Mould song. The sound hearkens back to his classic early solo sound. It's not as dark as most of the stuff on "Black Sheets of Rain", but it also isn't as acoustic leaning as much of "Workbook". It's sort of in between the sound of those two records, but it also wouldn't sound entirely out of place on either album.

Just saw "A Complete Unknown". Like a lot of Dylan fans, I was initially put off by the choice of Timothée Chalamet to play Bob. I started to come around whenever I saw the final film trailer. I thought the movie was actually good for a music biopic. Good that they only focused on that 4 year window. A few things that I wish they hadn't done, but, overall I enjoyed it. And Chalamet did his homework.

RIP Olivia Hussey. I just caught “Black Christmas” on the big screen at the Alamo Drafthouse this past Monday. She’s great as Jess in that movie.

Alamo Drafthouse may not be what it once was, but I do still enjoy when they show older movies as part of a theme. As part of their 1974 theme, I was able to catch both “Foxy Brown” & the original “Black Christmas” on the big screen, which is pretty rad.

I was passing through my room and I quickly glanced at the tv which had an ad promoting Panera’s “Ciabatta Dippers”. However, in that quick glance, I thought it said “Ciabatta Diapers”. So, if anyone needs a name for their garage band…you’re welcome.

I love when an album clicks for me after multiple attempts spread across an extended period of time. I consider myself a Sonic Youth fan, but for some reason I’ve never been able to fully embrace “Daydream Nation. Until today. Not sure what the issue was, but I’m glad I’m officially over it.
