The Smile sold out in 2 minutes. I get that The Ryman is a cool, iconic venue or whatever, but can artists go for a place that seats more than 50 people.
Missed getting stranded or washed away in Yellowstone/MT by about 4 days. Glad I got that trip in the books before then.
Finally listened to Have One on Me. I find Joanna's voice hard to understand in casual listening, and the abstractness of her form a little difficult to engage with, but what astounding lyricism on this one. This is a sit on the couch, lyric sheet in hand, listen fully honed in album imo.
Listened to a lot of stuff on the road, but my biggest musical discovery might be that Cuban Linx 2 is actually better than the first one..
Bikini Kill cancelled
I bought tickets to this show like 3 years ago, and it was postponed so many times.
Just left Yellowstone, and arrived up in Gardiner, MT. If I didn't miss my cat, and sleeping in my own bed so much, I wouldn't want to head back home. What a space.
So uuuh, Yellowstone is cool, but Grand Tetons broke my brain
Wyoming's a scary ass state to drive through. Way too much nothing for comfort.
