Won tickets to Yves Tumor from my local radio station a few weeks ago, and just won War on Drugs tickets from them for next week. Guess I'm the only one who enters these things!
Anybody here tried WWOOFing (not the kind that dogs do)? Just learned about it today, and seems like the kind of thing I'm looking for + the right time for it.
Mm&tBS - 8/10 on first listen. Not his most musically interesting, and 2/3 tracks I could take or leave, but lyrically dense as is to be expected. Some powerful tracks. Mother I Sober is monumental. Kendrick obviously has some complex opinions on morality and abuse, but still doesn't sit right with me that Kodak is a big part of this. Anyway, I'm going to bed now.
Catching up on releases:
Tomberlin - Lovely, great songwriting, even if I prefer folk a lil more melodic.
Belle & Sebastian - Pleasant! It's a B&S album.
Let's Eat Grandma - Pretty damn good synthpop, though I miss the noisier stuff from their last.
Arcade Fire - Corny.
Finally catching up on releases: Decided I love Father John Misty's latest, Wet Leg is alright, but the singles carry it, Jack White Rips, Orville Peck is a blast, and Vince Staples is good. 6 more new albums tomorrow, 4 next week.
