I saw Black Midi last night. It was amazing. Their drummer is a drumgod. Go see them. Can't believe the sophistication of their music given how young they are.

Tonight is my Kishi Bashi night! And it happens to coincide with his birthday. Can't wait! This will be my 7th Kishi show, and I'm more excited than ever.

I saw Wilco last night for the first time, even though I've been a fan since AM days. I am still shellshocked. I knew I'd enjoy it given my history with this band, but I had no idea how insane the lead guitarist and drummer are live. WOW
Two things: Big Thief's performance of "Not" on the Colbert Show last night is incredible. Other thing, new FKA Twigs single "home with you" is unreal. What a start to Friday!

I saw Makaya McCraven play last night with support from Joel Ross on vibraphone and Jeff Parker (Tortoise) on guitar. I've been to many shows, the memories from this one won't be fading anytime soon. Joel Ross was simply unreal, next level talented.
This new Chromatics is dope af. "Whispers in the Hall" is my first-reaction standout track, wow!
Catherine Wheel's Adam and Eve arrived today. One of my all time favorite albums. It had been prohibitively expensive until Music on Vinyl did this repress. Sounds amazing. I'm very very happy right now.

Two 2019 albums that I keep going back to because they are so damn good are: Marika Hackman's "Any Human Friend" and MOLLY's "All That Ever Could Have Been"
So excited to see Stereolab for the first time ever on Thursday. I might even do the thing I never do, which is arrive when doors open to secure a spot on the railing overlooking the stage. The show sold out in about an hour way back in February, so I'm guessing there will be others like me aiming for good visual real estate. Can't take a risk, they might not be back for another 18 years.
DHL shipped my 3 clear Stereolab records to the wrong address and now I'm dealing with their research dept trying to find out where the effing courier delivered it, and if he/she remembers and can retrieve it, etc. I was so excited yesterday getting the "your records will arrive today" and now I'm pissed. 1st world problems, I know, but this feels like the appropriate place to vent.
