Anyone here seen Regina Spektor live? She's playing nearby tonight and tickets prices are lower than face on the secondary market, so I'm thinking about it. I'm not too familiar with her music, but I love a good live show.
I ordered the new Just Mustard record from Rough Trade, and it arrived with an extra art print of the album cover signed by each member of the band. Cool surprise!
it is stormy and rainy in my area, which are the perfect weather conditions for listening to the new Just Mustard album out today, which is sounding amazing so far
Extremely excited about Ethel Cain's album and I'm hoping its release date (5/12) is not a glitch so I can spend some time with it tomorrow before Kendrick and The Smile drop on Friday.
Seeing Fontaines D.C. tonight, and I hadn't realized when I got tix the show would fall on album release day! Psyched for opener Just Mustard as well, love their music.
The track Blurred View on the new Big Thief is my initial favorite. So much to process on this sucker, but that one was a new direction for them, so it felt surprising, and sounded incredible.
Got an email from Subpop that I can stream entire new Beach House album! Unexpected surprise. If you ordered Once, Twice Melody through Subpop check your email or sign into your Subpop account! Listening to Chapter 4 now.
This January music explosion is insane! Beach House C3 drop, followed by great singles from Hatchie, Girlpool, Nilüfer Yanya, Animal Collective, Big Thief, and Jenny Hval Wednesday. And this morning new one from Melody's Echo Chamber!!!
If you like music with combo of heavy synths and punk tendencies (similar to The Faint) I strongly recommend you check out the EP by the Glaswegian band VLURE that dropped today.
There's always an album I discover from the previous year, just after New Year, that I'm surprised I missed since it's right in my wheelhouse. This year it's an electronic/ambient album: Hannah Peel's Fir Wave. Absolutely love it.
