    is it a hot take to say i think the live action cowboy bebop trailer looks horrible (the editing kinda disoriented me with all of the confusing 4th wall cuts, which from what i know were not at all in the original)

    i dont know a LOT about cowboy bebop... but i know enough to know that anyone who didn't already know the plot would have no idea what is going on... whats with all the sudden set changes... it looks like an after effects demo..

    also if you are going to go so off the wall and surreal.. why not keep edward (she is both a nonbinary icon and a fun piece of childish insanity)

    It looks eh. I don't mind the cast but the line deliveries feel (perhaps intentionally) like a stilted dub. It's very, very difficult to mimic the visual rhythms of anime in live action; movements and cuts feel sluggish compared to animation.

    Doing it properly would take a lot of time and money and Edgar-Wright-level editing, so I'm just not sure it's a realistic expectation.

    I don't think the trailer is supposed to indicate that the show will be like that, rather it's more of an homage to the iconic opening sequence? The casting and general scenery look good. It would be a mistake to try to totally mimic the line delivery, so we'll see how it actually unfolds.

    though honestly i think it isn't "too long" but more "there is way too much happening".. listening to a lot of albums it often feels like i heard 7 songs over the course of what was 3 on 45 minute LPs

    It's ok, her popularity has her playing really big venues. Gone are the days of Mitski with 500 or less people. I'm happy for her, she deserves it, but personally, I only go to venues with of 1,200 capacity or less these days; preferably much less. Unless it's Radiohead.

    Is it bad to say I don't like Phoebe's bo Burnham cover, some of the emotion is kinda removed in her much more clean vocals and the emphasis on (personally) the wrong parts of the song (the lion king line has more emotional energy than the one about 20000 years of life but only 7 left)

    It makes some more sense given how she's using it in the live shows (Closing on IKTE and then using the encore as a bit of a cool down). As a standalone it's aight.

    True. “Conviction overturned” is the appropriate term. I really hope not but between Cosby and Drake/Kanye I’m not hopeful about our country’s momentum. One step forward and two back.

    Well with Cosby that was a "inadmissable testimony was used to secure conviction" issue not clerical, and the DA is the one to blame for rolling those dice.

    mac miller's faces on vinyl has an understandable price seeing as 50 bucks for a triple LP seems pretty national compared to the BS certain people who ask that much for a single LP

    I only wish we had confirmation whether there was any sample clearance issues or changes. Either way you are correct and with that price tag it was a pretty easy purchase for me since it's truly official.
