Completed a big challenge today. I have now streamed every single Miles Davis album, Single, Ep, and Compilation. That's 121 Albums, 5 EP's, and 32 Compilations of 75 Hours of music.
I've just had some fantastic news. Golf Wang have fully refunded me for the Tyler The Creator album I ordered almost a year ago but never received. Looks like the Paypal dispute I set up pushed them to actually respond to my requests!
Need some advice. I ordered Igor in May 2019 and got a shipping notification in October. Still haven't got it and my emails to them through their website (1 in December, 1 in January, and one last week) have gone unanswered. I just want a refund at this point. Anyone else in the same position?
Very bad news in regards to the future of vinyl - I have copied the info on the 'Music News/Reviews' page. 1 of only 2 manufacturers of lacquer discs in the world burnt down today (the larger of the 2 as well). For the foreseeable future it is likely to be cut onto copper discs (DMM) as the remaining factory can only meet 20% of the demand.
Interesting question I was asked earlier, who is the musician/group who's ALBUMS you have the most of on vinyl? As lead it looks to be Queen (31), John Coltrane (28), Miles Davis (27), Tom Waits (25), Lee Morgan (22). At least thats from memory and looking up the numbers on discogs. How about you guys and girls?
I realized that im woefully behind on my familiarity of Bob Dylan (just heard 'All Along The Watchtower') and its blown my mind. @Joe Mac@Murfocakes etc....help me out, where do I start?
Rest In Peace Jimmy 'Little Bird' Heath. A legendary jazz musician and, from what I have read, an all-round great guy. I will be listening to his fantastic music today!
My favourite discovery of 2020 (ok I know we're only 13 days in) is Radio Garden Its an app/website with a google earth-style interface which plots thousands of radio stations which begin to stream when you hover over them. Superb stuff.
Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you wonderful people have a great day, eat plenty of food, spend time with friends and family, and listen to some great music! Cheers!
