I went down a rabbit hole and made a playlist: "Northern Funk". It's a compilation of recent Canadian funk with a heavy dose from French Canada. Been grooving to it since last night and thought I'd share. Probably new to most of you but it's good stuff to warm the soul during winter...

Algiers "There Is No Year". Here's an album I completely forgot came out in 2020. Maybe we should have looked at that title a little more closely when it came out in January?
My top played song on Spotify this year was Bad Decisions by The Strokes, but the number is small (7) so I really played a wide variety of music. The most surprising news is that I'm apparently a "tastemaker", having added ~860 followers to my playlists (I apparently have 2 popular playlists which grew a lot more than I thought with followers).
It stopped making sense a long time ago, so big hat goes with big suit.
