I still love that Adam Ant song. Another one I had on cassette single.
Surprised by how long "Cuts You Up" has lasted, considering I don't remember it from back then, and I mostly listened to alternative radio at the time. I didn't discover it until much later.
I'm sure "Enjoy The Silence"...
I will say that my wife and I had never seen the first Wonder Woman until right before we saw the second one. I don't think either one is very good, but I did enjoy Pedro Pascal and Kristen Wiig in the second one.
I'll have to start ranking my 20's albums because it'll help later but as of now these are my 10 most played albums of the decade...
1. Dua Lipa - Future Nostalgia
2. The Avalanches - We Will Always Love You
3. Haim - Women In Music Part 3
4. Japanese Breakfast - Jubilee
5. Fiona Apple - Fetch...
My wife and I have been to Santa Cruz once since living in Sacramento and it was mid-2020, the first trip we took during Covid.
I was telling her that we should go to a concert there sometime and just make a little trip out of it. But we'd have to bring somebody along to watch our daughter.
This was a lot of fun. King Tuff did mostly new songs, Ty Segall some deep cuts. Just two solo acoustic performances at a local performing arts center I hadn't been to yet.
I love jury duty and they seem to know it. I get called every couple of years without fail.
I even spent the better part of a year on a grand jury in L.A.
Yeah I can't imagine not seeing her with a band. For her set with Japanese Breakfast she had 3 or 4 metal dudes with beards as her band. It was definitely an interesting and memorable performance.
These guys...
We've seen her twice. Once with Japanese Breakfast and once with DIIV. Maybe you just need to see her live first. I bought her debut at the merch table when we saw her with JB and have been a fan ever since. I don't think there's a bad song on those first two albums but nothing has excited me...
Sasami is usually always great, but I haven't liked many of the singles from this one and I actually cancelled my pre-order of the album until I hear it for myself
