New/old 17-minute Dylan song - just what we need for these times. On first listen, it sounds amazing. How much stuff does he saved up?!

Most people consider Blonde on Blonde of the best, so don't sorry, @Joe Mac is the weird one!@Joe Mac - I listened to that MoFi pressing of Blonde on Blonde I got and I am absolutely in love! I love the album so much and was blown away by the sound quality too!
I am also a bit shocked and little bit sad that it’s not even a top 5 Bob Dylan records, yet alone in your top 10!
So that begs the question! What are your top 5 Bob Dylan albums!?!
The next Bob Dylan album I’m listening to right now is Highway 61 Revisited and I’m also loving it too! Loving the harmonica in the song “It Takes A Lot To Laugh”!
So what are the other 3 Bob Dylan records in your top 5 ???Most people consider Blonde on Blonde of the best, so don't sorry, @Joe Mac is the weird one!
It's definitely in my top 5 but Highway 61 is number one with a bullet, so enjoy!

Oh my bad! For some reason I thought Blonde on Blonde was your 11th favourite Bob Dylan album! Highway 61 Revisited was an absolute delight to listen to! I’m definitely going to be picking up the MoFi 45RPM pressing of that album! It’s well inside my top 10! I said it was around 5 or 6 generally! I also said don’t read too much into it because Dylan has released approximately 40 albums and the amount that are all time classics is probably in double figures!
For posterity my top 5ish is
1. Blood on the Tracks (I could legitimately listen to this album on a loop for all eternity and never get tired of it)
2. Bringing It All Back Home
3. Desire
4. Highway 61 Revisited
5. The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan/Blonde on Blonde
@NathanRicaud completely misrepresented me. I think Blonde on Blonde sonically completely captured that sound he was searching for in his early electric albums and as such it’s the perfect encapsulation of what he famously described as “that thin wild mercury sound”. As a collection of songs I don’t think it is quite at the very top level of Dylan and I think that he did better a few times.
Yeah, and Joe thinks PJ Harvey’s debut “Heavy” is her best album but her sophomore masterpiece “Rid Of Me”, isn’t worthy of her top 5!Most people consider Blonde on Blonde of the best, so don't sorry, @Joe Mac is the weird one!

I just don’t understand him sometimes! It’s as if Joe purposely likes to look abstract or cool or something

I’m going to listen to Blood On The Tracks tomorrow! The MoFi pressing of that one is expensive! AUD$225!!! I saw that you PIF’d a MoFi pressing of that Joe but you upgraded into a better MoFi pressing of Blood On The Tracks? I’m guessing that’s the boxset, yeah?
Ahhh that’s right! The name of PJ Harvey’s debut is “Dry”, and not Heavy!Dry is is PJ’s debut and yeah it’s my favourite. It’s really raw and honest and direct. I have a real soft spot for great honest raw albums. I’m not cool and I don’t try to be
I just double checked and yeah, it’s the ultradisc pressing that’s going up for AUD$225! I think that’s a really good price actually considering that it retailed for USD$125 and that you paid £139!Oh go no. It’s a masterpiece, we’re just talking about an artist who released a few other masterpieces that I prefer. Yeah I have the 45RPM 2 disc mofi Ultradisc of it. It’s the best sounding press of ah album I’ll likely ever hear, it’s spectacular! It did cost me £139 though so I’m guessing that’s the same one that’s AU$225? It’s an absurd amount to spend on one single album but we’re talking about one of my all time favourite albums! Highway 61 Reivisted is a wonderful MoFi too. I have the MoFi Mono presses of Bringing It All Back Home and Highway 61 Revisted and it’s an experience every time I spin them!
Hard to say. It changes all the time, but usually it's pretty similar to Joe's list.So what are the other 3 Bob Dylan records in your top 5 ???
I agree with that 100%.@NathanRicaud completely misrepresented me. 4. Desire
5. Blonde on Blonde
But there are another dozen studio albums at least that I'm also very fond of! I've been digging more into his Time Out of Mind and subsequent albums era recently.
I agree with that 100%.
I'd go:
1. Blood On The Tracks
2. Blonde On Blonde
3. Highway 61 Revisited
4. The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan
5. Time Out Of Mind / Desire
I've only really started my Dylan journey and I already know that Blook On The Tracks is up there as a favourite. I agree with you @Joe Mac I could, and have, played it on repeat! It’s well inside my top 10! I said it was around 5 or 6 generally! I also said don’t read too much into it because Dylan has released approximately 40 albums and the amount that are all time classics is probably in double figures!
