Album of The Year - Endgame

something tells me Kate Bush won't get 54 out of 55 points I attempted to award her so I might as well come up with a proper top 10

1. Kate Bush - Hounds of Love
2. The Jesus and Mary Chain - Psychocandy

HM:
Jonathan Richman - Rockin' and Romance

This was a really hard list to order. Especially the first and second groups of three. Great year. This list and especially the order would probably change on a different week. I don't know if I'll ever be comfortable with a list I make, that's why I usually don't post them in here.

I gave Hounds of Love another listen today and appreciated it considerably more than I have in the past. Not sure I could really put it in the top ten still and I don't think it's really hurting for points in here so I'm leaving it off. Sorry, Nathan

so long as you can appreciate the perfection of cloudbursting I’ll let you off 😉

One of the best debut albums of this decade. Airy vocals over outrageous Shoegaze riffs that flow perfectly into each other from track to track.

It kinda sucks that both albums after this seem to be almost from a different band. This album was like lighting in a bottle, they couldn’t recapture that magic again if they tried.
