Bandbox: an uncompensated review of an interesting new club

With using a gift card to buy one album, I seem to be charged shipping…is there no free shipping for members? Should I add it as a one time subscription instead?

That must be new because I used a gift card on an album last week and it didn't charge for shipping. Are you logged into your account?

Yeah, I figured this kind of thing was coming with the changes. The good times never last. Seeing as I'd only maybe buy 25% of the records they put out without the sub, if it's not a deal moving forward just like all the other subs I've cancelled because of outrageous costs, this one will lapse too. Vinyl has gotten way too expensive for it to be a way to explore new music.

same. I’m on the cheap pricing still from the membership sale. Not sure I’ll reup when it’s over but will see. Especially curious to see how the quality is for their own pressings with their machines. I’ll still have quite a few gift cards left and might dip in here and there. Monthly member price is more palatable than VMP’s to dip in for a month if there’s a release I want.
 
PSA- If you entered the Bandbox giveaway on IG you might get a follow request from an account that looks like it's bandbox and a DM saying you've won but need to register for this sports stream service who is "sponsoring" the contest. Be careful bc it looks legit at first read
