Bandbox: an uncompensated review of an interesting new club

They just made it easy for me. I had rejoined for Black Crowes and was probably going to stop again now because I had already gotten Judas Priest and anything else right now would have been because I felt obligated. Now I can just wait for the three records due me and probably not give them another thought because after shipping, they’re prices are B A N A N A s

I really wanted to pick up Priest and crowes but those prices were nooooope. I got the yo la tengo because i'd looking for it and it was an impulse buy. I'll have to find sad wings and crowes on the secondary market sometime I guess

I thought I’d gotten yo la tengo but can not find any proof of any sort anywhere (it would have been a gift card purchase)… just waiting for Mould and the two previously mentioned.

I mean I was not a member precovid, I started in 21 and I’ve never gotten a monthly shipment and have often had up to six titles paid and waiting to ship. Point being, this has been their model for a while. They’ve also had unsustainable sales practices which probably didn’t help either. Their new price structure plus shipping means I’m out unless another thing like Crowes comes along.
 
So I had a nice interaction with the GOAT (Pam) today. Got Live Drugs locked in and shared that it is important to me that the gift card provided covers albums+shipping. I think that's my biggest issue with the announcement. My bonus gift cards were like $35 and $40 (which is fine, it's a bonus). I don't think that the sub refund (even at our discounted price) should make us pay out of pocket. For example, by locking in Live Drugs now, I’m not paying out of pocket. However, if I was given a $40 gift card, I’d be paying almost $10 out of pocket, which was not the deal when I signed up.

She said that it's been a part of the conversation and that she'd pass along the feedback, which I appreciated and made me pretty hopeful.

I like free shipping too. The 20off code typically works which usually covers it.
 
When the people that emailed Bandbox, did they give any indication when they might be sending out everyone's credit? I still have plenty, just wondering in case they drop more exclusives soon. It is a new month after all.

I believe the original email they sent out indicated that the credits would be sent by Tuesday, May 2.
