I know it's just memes, but I don't think the torpedo bats would do the big HR hitters a lot of good. They're already getting the meat of the bat enough to hit all of the homers in the first place. These torpedo bats are for those who have the analytics that they hit more frequently up on the hands and less towards the classic "barrel" section.

I play on a sandlot team and actually do this. I tend to crowd the plate too much so I often hit closer on the barrel to my hands. But I’m not about to go and find one of these bats to accommodate because they’re probably like hundreds of dollars.

Nice, I still have my Louisville slugger. It’s heavy as fuck so I have to choke up a decent amount to generate solid bat speed but it got the job done.
