Baseball

Just heard a story about the Yankees on NPR that surprised me.

The Yankees have new bats this year. The bats are designed with each player in mind, and where they are most likely to make contact with the ball with the bat. The bats are designed to have more mass / be thicker at this point. And this is completely legal.

They scored 20 runs yesterday, 9 of them as home runs. It could be a one day aberration since they only scored 4 runs on opening day. If all teams can do it, then I don't see the issue. I think it's only 3 players who have the new bats but this will just be the beginning. Aaron Judge had 3 home runs yesterday but he doesn't use the new bat. It will still take skill.
