Baseball

On the phone with MLB.tv now, and it sounds like they have a policy to refund for this. What a great bonus!

EDIT: Well that worked out nicely, paid for the earlier trip to my local plus a little extra!
Nice! Your in the same boat as me too, right? You’re a Phillies fan so you really only wanna watch out-of-market games anyhow. I will say I do think the Mariners have a good amount to f young talent on their squad this year so I’ll probably have to turn into Root TV and watch a few of their games this year too.

Phillies first and then the Mariners. Been pulled in with being a fairly local for so long. The kid and I usually go up for opening day each year, and a couple other times. Great ballpark and nice to see them putting some young talent together. Ready for them to finally break out.

Booooo!!!!

Didn't I see yesterday they had some Covid issues yesterday? I didn't see much about it today. Apparently it's game on but the might have had to make some roster moves.
I try to stay away from the news, so not sure? I believe you though. I haven't been paying attention to their off season or pre season. I'll get back into the swing of it as the games get going (get it? swing? hehe). I still am fully invested in the soccer so until that ends for the season, baseball is secondary.

Yup...

Yup...
Looks like they actually just postponed the game. I was so hopeful after ST went smoothly. Now we didn't even make it one day into the season.

The day has come!!

Can Champa Bay win it this time, and add to the cities run of titles?!?!

This worked in the NFL thread so: It's gonna be a good season and if any of you fine folks find yourselves in Tampa cuz you are facing the Rays in the World Series holla!!!!

RAYS UP

Guys, I'm so freaking excited to watch the Blue Jays this year. While we are severely lacking in starting pitching, the offence is going to be off the charts. Not sure about playoffs just yet, but I would think they will be close contenders for a Wild Card spot.

I have no idea if the Reds will build off last year or regress back into their natural level of being below 4th place. They didn't acquire anyone of note and lost some rotation strength but I'm excited for Jonathan India, more Luis Castillo and Sonny Gray, and their lineup, which is capable of being great. All things considered, I'm in for at least a few weeks of paying attention.

I’m really excited for the season this year. I didn’t watch any of the regular season last year because I didn’t think they’d get through it. I usually watch (or at least have it on in the background) every Yankee game when I’m home. And usually watch at least parts of multiple games per day depending on who’s on my fantasy teams. Didn’t realize how much I missed it last year.

Toronto offense scares me. Tampa always seems to find a way to compete every year too. I’m loving Boston being irrelevant.

Can anyone stop the Dodgers? Maybe the Padres?

I am watching the different team feeds and didn’t realize Dan Shulman was the Blue Jays play-by-play guy. He is one of my favorite voices, I was bummed when ESPN let him go. The Blue Jays got a good one.

He got his start with the Blue Jays before he went to ESPN. We're glad to have him back. I can honestly say that Dan and Buck Martinez are one of the best pairs of baseball announcers working today.
