The National for me too, but going back to 2017. Looking at the years now, I don't know what was my AOTY for 2018...seems like that was a pretty weak year. Little Simz, Fiona Apple, Arlo Parks, and Big Thief though for last 4 years.

Edit: ie 2018. Maybe not weak as I see a lot of good albums, but no really standout best of.

Fiona Apple - FTBC / Phoebe Bridgers - Punisher (a very close 2nd place) (2020)
Little Simz - S.I.M.B.I. / Spellling - The Turning Wheel (a very close 2nd place) (2021)
