I dont think it's on the level of his past work, but it's still a pretty solid album.I'm so upset because I really loved Currents. The Slow Rush is just a bloated mess.
This is becoming a favorite this year, some genre-bending punk/rap/drum n bass/screamo(?) stuff
SameThis new Owen Pallett album is hitting all the right spots right now. It's a grower for sure. Could easily be in my top 10 by the end of the year.
also why hasn't there been a vinyl announcement yet! I need it. Looks like he's still signed to Domino so they'll probably be the ones to release it eventually.Same
I think the digital release date was pushed up by a lot, so the vinyl plans were probably not finalized yet.also why hasn't there been a vinyl announcement yet! I need it. Looks like he's still signed to Domino so they'll probably be the ones to release it eventually.

We can go ahead and add Run The Jewels - RTJ4 to this listStill early and only a few albums have enough listens to have sunk in, but my favorites so far:
Waxahatchee - Saint Cloud
Fiona Apple - Fetch The Bolt Cutters
Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit - Reunions
Frances Quinlan - Likewise
Moses Sumney - Grae
Destroyer - Have We Met
Porridge Radio - Every Bad
I anticipate that this will change often, my AOTY right now is probably one of the first 3 listed (if forced to say right now, I'd go Saint Cloud, but I bet that changes since I've listened to that one more than the others).
RTJ4 needs to be added to the list. Slotted somewhere in between Caribou and Owen Pallett.Current top 15:
Pefume Genius - Set My Heart on Fire Immediately
I Break Horses - Warnings
Yves Tumor - Heaven To A Tortured Mind
Caribou - Suddenly
Owen Pallett - Island
Waxahatchee - Saint Cloud
Tame Impala - The Slow Rush
Grimes - Miss Anthropocene
TOPS - I Feel Alive
Porridge Radio - Every Bad
U.S. Girls - Heavy Light
Yaeji - What We Drew
Soccer Mommy - Color Theory
Caroline Rose - Superstar
Notion of Language - Introduction, Presence
