Best Music of 2020

Yeah we are very different people. I absolutely love Waxahatchee. I think Kate Crutchfield’s voice is what sets her apart. Though, it does make for an acquired taste I suppose. And Anddrianne Lenker doesn’t do much for me. I have enjoyed a few Big Thief songs but I’ve yet to have a full album click with me and lord have I tried.

I'm with you. I love Kate's voice even if the most recent album is too country for me where as the instrumentals on Lenker's work are ALWAYS up my alley but I'm extremely lukewarm on her voice.

I'm currently in quarantine so excuse the excessive posts but...

For the most recent proof that major labels are a detriment to music as an art form, see how jaw droppingly more interesting Charli XCX is now that she can do what she wants.

Then again, her Youtube hits are also down by roughly 100 million, so it's also more evidence that the average person's taste in music is blander than a mayo sandwich.

I was going to ask you about her at some point. Before this post, I had assumed you already listened to how I'm feeling now but not too keen on it.

I've been a fan since '13 and yes, I think '16 is when she took the step towards establishing her sound and new fanbase. She is, to me, the most consistent popstar of the past five years.
