Ch Ch Ch Changes! - David Bowie Talk

I purchased this one on spec. I dithered and talked myself out of the earlier ones in the run. Hopefully it is good session.
Just clicked on the Bowie Store link and it says sold out already. Still available from the Warner Canada store.

Looks like a good mix of older and Outside/Earthling era songs, plus O Superman. Though he covered it on this tour quite a bit, it has never had an official release.

4th cd secured for the box ...2 to go...this will turn in to a very expensive box set with added stress...
It’s the added stress that is the problem. You could get 5 and miss the last one. Or order all and have the post not deliver. So out of the last two probably will be Something In The Air live in Paris. Will the other be the CD that came with initial copies of Live At The BBC I wonder?

No.not the bbc one ...That would be a bit dull as I’ve got that already!

Can you imagine! I think a lot of flippers will know this and 6 will be snatched up by bots ahoy so the folk with 1 - 5 can be truly shafted by a group of absolute fuckers

That’s a big part of the reason I chose to sit out (the other being the price—do I really need to spend $250-$300 on 90s Bowie live albums?). Knowing my pseudo-OCD tendencies, it would have been devastating to have an incomplete set. And now that flippers know these are valuable goodies, the chances of the last couple selling out fast are even greater.

Aside from my inherent clumsiness that's also played into why I haven't bust the crust on mine. If I miss out on 5 or 6 I think it would screw with me too much to have 1 - 4/5 just sitting there

My guess is that it will be Paris 99 (Something In The Air) which is already available digitally and then something from his 50th birthday. He did the big show with various duets, but the licensing for that might be too hard. He also did a couple of acoustic radio shows in the days leading up so maybe one or both.

The other BBC show I think will be in the next box set since it is from 2000 and BLA is supposed to cover 95-99.

I have to admit even I am getting a bit of fatigue after the first 3, but the plus is that I have gone back and listened to Outside and Earthling again a few more times. The live band he had for these tours was really tight. But how many more live versions of Under Pressure do I need to hear?

I recently sold my first pressing clear Blackstar, looking for an RTI to replace. Purchased one on Discogs, got it opened only to discover it’s the Celebrate pressing.

Found one on eBay for $40, messaged the seller (to make sure it is the RTI, said he was fairly certain, but not 100%. After going back and forth, he wants to cancel the order, and he relisted it for $10 more with more for shipping. Dude is a shady character and I’m not sure how to proceed.

anyone have an opinion on the Celebrate pressing? Is the RTI the best one to own?
