I actually picked-up a Space Oddity during one of my Japanese purchase sprees. I have no idea how it compares to the current issues or any other, but it's overall a very enjoyable pressing! The clean quiet Japanese vinyl is a big part of it, as usual.

The worse part is when this gets released on Blu Ray, I will buy it. Then I will need to buy a Blu Ray player just to watch it. And then I might as well start buying Blu Ray audio discs

It’s not even in my top 5 Bowie albums, but this pressing really opened it up, I’m hearing it in a completely different way now. It’s on the title track now, and the backing vocals are so distinct and separate. Holy shit, Suffragette City! Wow!

Yeah I know I steamed it plenty back in the day lol.
This is an outlier I think because Sony are releasing it a month before they lose the rights to his late career catalogue. It’s a cash grab. I don’t think Warner/Parlophone will feel bound by that in putting together box set 6..

Wonder how they will deal with Next Day in the next box since the vinyl version has 17 tracks but the cd version only 14 tracks. Even stranger is the vinyl came with a cd version, which has all the vinyl tracks.
