Also quick note - anyone looking for a copy of this record (it's great and probably the only Billy Idol record anyone needs), get yourself an original pressing. My copy was cheap, completely clean and sounds miles ahead of any reissue I've heard.

25-Oct Expert: Pledge to donate at least 5 cans of food or $5 to a local food bank this month and play an album that you wish we would all sit around and listen to with you.

No problem on the donation. My local grocery store has pre-packaged meals that go to needy recipients. I usually buy a couple per year, so I'll make sure to do it this week.

I chose Chris Smither because I always try to spread the word about this wonderful and under-appreciated artist.

Great news! My wife was intrigued by the points system enough to do an audit with me.
I also saw that I forgot to post what I spun for Oct 17th, Medium - Aretha Franklin- Spirit in the Dark.
So my new total with that Medium on Day 17 factored in is 85. I had a couple nice runs of Expert where I unknowingly underpointed myself.
Sweet.

Ian Curtis hanged himself the night before Joy Division was departing on their first American tour. He was 23 years old. What a tragic loss...

Drummer Robbie MacIntosh of Average White Band died of drug overdose at the age of 24. Their track "Pick Up The Pieces" is covered on here by Fred Wesley and the James Brown band, under the moniker A.A.W.B. (Above Average White Band, lol). I know I'm stretching, but "I'll allow it". Hehe. I feel like listening to this very fine compilation. I'll let you guys play the infamous not-so-smallie dude.

Jess Williamson - Sorceress (signed)

I don't think I own a single full blown country artist in my collection (at least, I better not), but Jess is adjacent to this genre. The pop sensibilities in her song structures are candy for my ears, and her voice is charming.
