Physical for this has the old Vertigo branding as well, but is technically a Black Label title, since Vertigo is dead. I think because Sandman was the flagship of Virtigo, they've kept the branding for those collections for shelf appeal... they'll better fit in with the older Sandman stuff. I think it's a nice touch.

Be a better touch if they hadn’t done away with one of the best and most important comics labels of all time, but whatevs. Warner has a way with pissing me off.

Actually, I can't speak specifically to this one, but the first Nightmare Country collection has the Vertigo branding. And that just came out a couple of months back.

Yeah, I can dig that... once Berger left things really tanked, but I think that's more on Corporate than on Shelly Bond.

The Vertigo Panels at SDCC used to be so much fun. Karen Berger ran the room with tons of talent every year. The Fables ones were especially great.

My roommate just launched a campaign for her one-shot entry in a horror mini series about a hospice center for evildoers. In total there are six standalone entries/campaigns by separate creative teams.
She's kept the details largely under wraps, but her story sounds a bit like The Cell meets Silent Hill with strong psychological and body horror.

I was just coming over here to post this! Going back to the Vertigo discussion, its obvious here that Bill has definitely soured on DC's current management, especially since they shuttered the Vertigo brand. And honestly a pretty surprising move for him in general. Fables did get a bit long in the tooth (no pun intended) as it went on in its initial run, but I'm curious to see how it evolves from here.This is pretty wild!

We lost Keith Giffen today. These past few years have been brutal to comics; we've lost so many legends. At least it seems that Keith was able to keep up his exuberant sense of humor up until the very end. I was always very fond of his work.
He was the co-creator of Rocket Racoon, Lobo and Blue Beetle III(Jaime Reyes) and penned acclaimed runs at DC writing books like Justice League International and Legion of Super-Heroes. He will be missed.
