Can it be matted without tape? That's the route I've always gone.

I'm not sure, waiting on the frame and matte to arrive and just wanted to have supplies ready. I did find this video and he seems to use acid free tape to tape the picture (or print in my case) to the matte.

I have used framers tape, something like this

Oh tape it to the matte. That would prevent all the sliding nonsense I deal with. Lol.
