The Elvin Jones album "Earth Jones" is one of his best from the 80s (1982). I'm playing one of my favourite Elvin standards, "Three Card Molly". In addition to Elvin, this album has:
  • Terumasa Hino - cornet
  • Dave Liebman - soprano saxophone, flute
  • Kenny Kirkland - piano, electric piano
  • George Mraz - bass
Once again, in accordance with the principle that the quality of jazz album art is inversely correlated with music quality, this album is AMAZEBALLZ!

The best finale I know. I love this Harry Nilsson song so much. (In fact, this is what I want played at my wake). It probably doesn't fit the mixtape, it doesn't sound modern at all, but this song just gets me every single time I play.

Electric Light Orchestra "Eldorado" (1974 United Artists; 2022 MOFI reissue)
Going to close out the mix with "Can't Get It Out Of My Head". The MOFI reissue was a revelation for me. I was merely a passing ELO fan, but this thing sounds so amazing, it's put it into a whole other level. Pretty much my most played album and song of 2022.
