I see them available at tons of places still. Target probably moved a good amount but they almost always restock stuff like this. I don’t think it will sell out super soon everywhere but I do think it will sell out and price will go up again on secondary market

I think your right. MD's website says it's limited to 10k, which is part of what concerning me, that I miss it before a sale hits.

An early US or Uk is probably the way to go with that one. I've tried 3 different pressing and each had their shortcomings. The original canadian was just no good. The MOV Back To Black is actually pretty good but the bass is a bit muddy on it. The MOFI sounds good, bass is tight, but I'd like the bass to be a little deeper on it. Also, check the track listings when you chose what you want to get. Different countries put out slightly different tracklists.

And no, I haven't heard the 2021 RKS, so maybe that's the holy grail. You should get it.

I have the 2021 RKS, it is probably the next best thing to a clean UK OG. The MOFI I have, still have some, they are ok, but take the bile out, which really misses the point.

The RKS has Big Tears and Radio Radio putting it way over the MOFI.

I double checked and it's actually the Back To Black and not the MOV I have. But it does sound good overall. It has I Don't Want To Go To Chelsea and Night Rally. Plus Radio Radio but no Big Tears.

The MOFI is missing oomph for lack of a better word.

You're tempting me into trying a 2021 since I'm still looking for a pressing I love of this one.

I think the 2003 cut is the best I’ve heard. I also realized with this 50th announcement that while I appreciate the album and sonically it’s awesome, I listen to the thing maybe twice a year. So not even sure why I own so many different pressings of it.

But also with that said, if a UHQR came out I’d probably buy it 😂

Oh for sure it was obvious, c'mon I think we all know each other well enough at this point to know that you're going to have to work pretty hard to offend me. So like, try harder next time.
I've so far got the 2016 BG and the 79 Mofi. I've heard this one is similar to the Mofi so I'm curious. I've honestly not really been let down by any of the early JP pressings that I've bought aside from a couple that weren't bad, but just didn't best other versions I have, so I'm really interested to see how this one sounds. But also I'm fully addicted to the JP packages with the Obi etc so the fact that this one is complete and in great shape just kinda made me do it. But like you alluded to I was also kinda waiting to see what the box set would entail. It entails not a whole lot of anything I'm interested in spending hundreds of dollars on sooooo here we go.

Yeah the problem with the 2003 is that by most accounts it was a hit and miss pressing and a lot of them had noise. So they cost a fortune and finding a clean one is a total lottery unless you're willing to fork out about $350 CAD for an opened NM copy. I ain't willing to do that in this case.

Funny enough, I bought mine from Canada a year or two ago. Jacket isn’t NM but the vinyl is pretty much perfect somehow. It is frustrating that they A) had poor QC on it and B) haven’t reused those plates. That pressing is cut HOT though and I love it
