Definitive Audiophile pressings

I'm spinning mine now and I don't mean to try to convince you....but I think you know how I feel about KG by now....

And I think the MoFi sounds better.
At this point despite the fact that I'm mad at Mofi and Music Direct, I can't deny the fact that their 2 LP 45s are otherworldly.

Oh that’s very nice to know it sounds amazing! If MoFi ever decide to repress it, I’ll definitely grab it but yeah, the Discogs prices/resell price is way too expensive for me! Happy you own a MoFi pressing of that masterpiece though! 😍

My copy of the two Pixies best ones are somewhat disconcertingly remastered by a company named “Loud Mastering”. I’m more than happy with both, sound great and the Pixies joy is rawness, I’d worry that mofi would put manners on them.

FTFY

You don’t need any records.
True! And I’m going to spin the Roktober/2017 Kevin Gray pressing and if I really like it, then I probably won’t grab the MoFi! But maybe when I’m in my 30’s and appreciate Electric Warrior even more, I’ll try and grab the MoFi pressing!

Are T Rex even that big a deal to you? Do you have the Bowie glam stuff already? Why not dig deeper? New York Dolls and Jobriath are well worth cocking an ear to. Maybe even suede for kinda 90s glam revival. That’s a really good pressing that you have ordered so do you need the mofi if it’s not an artist you adore and there’s so much more of interest to try...

I’m in my 30s and am perfectly happy to have a best of for T Rex, their strength always was as a singles band...

Looks like I need to spend AUD$100-$125 on a MoFi pressing for Electric Warrior then! 😭😭😭
haha. Just keep the KG cut! I'm sure it will be more than good enough especially if it's not a super important album to you. You don't NEED to get the best possible audiophile version of every album ever. You'll slowly drive yourself crazy (and become poor). The KG cut is nothing to scoff at. I said earlier, if I had the KG cut first, I would have skipped out on the MoFI because it's still fantastic.

Think of it this way: keeping the 33RPM KG cut means more room on your shelf for other albums!

@Joe Mac is on point as usual. Keep the KG cut and dig deeper into some of the other artists from that time period if you dig Glam rock. There are tons of awesome Bowie pressings for great value that you can probably get easier.

I... I think I'm offended?

I'm going to sit down and go over the details but I'm pretty sure I'm offended.
I only say that because I still am very much a jazz, hip-hop, roots, reggae, R&B/Soul, disco, funk and neo-soul. I’m still warming up to rock, especially glam rock! I am also warming up to electronic and art-pop and indie, but punk and rock is taking me more time to warm up to! :)
