Definitive Audiophile pressings

Anyone grab this or have an opinion on it? Seems to be mixed reviews on sound quality.
I have the French 2016 2lp, which I really like. I think it sounds great. I don't know what the other presses are like, or if I was just lucky. I think the second disc is quite neat as well.

It's a great album, go for the LITA, see what it's like.

Probably the best version you’ll be able to afford of it. I think it sounds quite good, the bass really jumps out, but yeah definitely not an audiophile pressing.

Are there any quality issues of his music? Does anyone have the most recent mono box set?

I don't have the mono, but regarding other issues, I have the RSD version of this & it's pretty great.

Edit -

@AnthonyI It appears the 2016 French reissues were all remastered from the original tapes, so chances are they all will sound better than the LITA pressing, if that is getting mixed reviews. If you don't want to stump up for the double there are 2 listings for the single disc version that will probably use the same plates (2016 French) & it is cheap.

Not sure what to make of this but may be relevant to anyone who wanted the Craft One-Step of John Coltrane’s Lush Life and missed out. The site has a notice that the item is sold out, but it also allowed me to put one in my cart and check out (I didn’t submit payment, but I’m certain the transaction would have been completed).

If this is something you want, nothing to lose by trying: Small Batch

It's the late afternoon ones that sneak up on you...
funny... I thought I saw them coming.

Also: sad face update... I got a second email from Acoustic gently revising my shipping notice to exclude the Miles Davis. (a guy can dream)

Also Also: I did the prep call for our event with Brian Owens today and the he couldn't have been a more decent, gracious, generous person. He's going to broadcast from his studio with a pretty tight set list of 6-7 sounds. (@soulsteprecords is just awesome)

Not sure if it helps but I have this version of Relaxin' and I think it sounds great:

If anybody missed out on the Craft One Step of Lush Life...they seem to be adding some back into stock. I was able to grab one for my buddy since my 2nd order was originally cancelled...so we'll see if they cancel this one or not!

I checked twice like ten minutes ago and it said sold out both times... Odd

Two questions on joy Division/ New Order
  1. Does anyone have a recommendation on which Joy Division's (Unknown, Closer) are the right pressings?
  2. I've got the Temptation 12" (flipside, Hurt) and the sound is good (2019/2020). Does anyone know if the original factory EP or Singles are a better sound quality? It is a moderately meaningful record for me, etc

1. The 2015 remasters were fantastic. They did a really good job with them. It’s not audiophile label but are more than worthy and it is post punk. The same plates were supposedly used for the 2019 & 2020 represses of each in colour. I have the red unknown pleasures with the inverted colour jacket and it’s really good. Didn’t bother with the clear Closer last year because had the black from 2015.

2. I don’t know but I do want to pick up the repress of the Blue Monday single that they did recently!

Can't comment on comparisons, but the original sounds really great. I believe all of their 12"s have really great reputations. Was gonna say might as well keep an eye out as they are pretty cheap, but damn prices keep shooting up on everything lately. You can always try a different single that's worth it to you and see if the difference is enough to justify the splurge on a second copy of Temptation.
