Ah yes. The one who was prophesied to bring balance to the vinyl community. Was it balance? Or was it FOMO? I forget. It was one of those. You forgot about Kevin Gray. You are gonna need lots of Kevin Gray.

I still prefer the Mono to the Stereo mix of Pet Sounds. So I’ve been lurking on this thread for a while taking note of all these audiophile pressings I’ve slept on. Turns out I need to upgrade to the AP stereo of Pet Sounds, the 45 RPM of Serves You Right to Suffer, multiple MoFis, and maybe even a Craft small batch of Eastern Sounds.
Getting into record collecting was a mistake.
I gotta spin this again...I still prefer the Mono to the Stereo mix of Pet Sounds.
As do II still prefer the Mono to the Stereo mix of Pet Sounds.
As do I

Ditto, I have both and prefer the mono version.I still prefer the Mono to the Stereo mix of Pet Sounds.
I think I may prefer the stereo because that’s the version I originally fell in love with and have heard a thousand times. I was a bit underwhelmed when I first listened to the AP mono to be honest.I still prefer the Mono to the Stereo mix of Pet Sounds.
Pick the one you like and go with it, no harm, no foulI think I may prefer the stereo because that’s the version I originally fell in love with and have heard a thousand times. I was a bit underwhelmed when I first listened to the AP mono to be honest.
Yeah, it’s a personal preference kind of thing. My first copy of Pet Sounds was a CD copy that had both the Mono and Stereo mix of the album. Both were well done. I just was drawn more the the Mono. Also, the original/alternate version of “I Know There’s An Answer“, aptly named “Hold On To Your Ego” which Wilson had to rework because Mike Love was a bitch who thought the original lyrics were “too druggy” was only in Mono too. Not that the last bit adds too much to my point, I just like to point out that Mike Love is a bitch whenever the opportunity presents itself.I think I may prefer the stereo because that’s the version I originally fell in love with and have heard a thousand times. Even with being the voice, he's my least favorite member of this band..........maybe it's the hats.Yeah, it’s a personal preference kind of thing. My CD copy was the same! I was drawn to the stereo because it was sequenced to play before the mono and would just listen to that instead of skipping through half of the tracks. Laziness created the preference I now have.Yeah, it’s a personal preference kind of thing. My first copy of Pet Sounds was a CD copy that had both the Mono and Stereo mix of the album. Did you ever hear his spiteful Rock & Roll HOF speech where he talks shit about the Stones and the Beatles? That combined with the fact that when he assumed the leadership role, he was the one that steered them away from creativity in order to make more money as a tour boomer nostalgia act. Also, him suing the other members of the band over use of the “Beach Boys” moniker, also all the bad pun album titles based of his last name “Love”, and him giving Full House’s Uncle Jesse the rights to fantastic Dennis Wilson cut, “Forever”. There’s a lot to hate about Mike Love.Even with being the voice, he's my least favorite member of this band..........maybe it's the hats.

Yep, never liked him. I actually got to meet him once in my early 20's in Atlanta and he was a total dick and very full of himself. That pretty much put the nail in the coffin for me.Did you ever hear his spiteful Rock & Roll HOF speech where he talks shit about the Stones and the Beatles? I’m sure this has been covered, but the Grundman remaster of PF “Animals” from a couple years ago is decent, yes? Someone couldn’t sleep the other night and bought himself a present.
