My Pastel Blues is on the way but if it’s anything like the other Acoustic Sounds reissues I have then I’ll be ditching my MOV version of Pastel Blues soon
 
I have both the Nina Simone albums on preorder from deep discount, still no shipping notification. I’ll be pissed if they have oversold, like the did with Mingus one step.

HOw much do you normally pay for Deep Discount shipping, Andy? Is it nuts or reasonable? Customs charges in at the front end?

It's very reasonable & customs charges are up front. They are definitely the first place I look for MoFi & the acoustic sounds series. They bundled the Coltrane & Nina Simone releases for pre-order, which made them affordable. Generally works out at around £50 for a MoFi 45, still not cheap but the cheapest I've found for the UK.

The problem is that I have had a few pre-orders & back orders cancelled on me. The Mingus One Step was frustrating as you can't get it at a reasonable price anymore.

edit- be sure to use one of the discount codes, they generally have a 10% code available.

I tried to get that from Deep Discount & Amazon.com, but neither would ship due to the weight.

Do you have a link, the only pop market store on Discogs I can see doesn't seem to ship to the UK
 
I have Lee Morgan’s Cornbread, Nina Simone’s Pastel blues and Blakey’s Roots and herbs in the same shipment from MD. The Blakey is out of stock, so my order is stuck for now...I pre-ordered all these more than a month ago. Oh, well, will have to wait I guess. I feel a bit stupid, since I initially ordered the Nina in a different order and asked them to merge that shipment so they wouldn’t have to ship twice within a few days.
 
And now I looked at another pre-order I have at Acoustic Sounds, and I have Hancock’s Head Hunter 33rpm in that order that is now shown as backordered. Hope they didn’t fuck it up and put a copy aside for my shipment...
