It had KG in the runouts but honestly it did not sound like your typical KG cut to me. I suspect it may have been one of the ones he cut the lacquer on, but didn't actually master. Also the pressing was godawful, full of loud pops and no fill. Went through two copies and gave up. Excited to get this one.

I faired much better in my sundazed copy than you did. but it never sounded INCREDIBLE from what I remember. I'll have to give it a relisten and compare the two.
 
According to Discogs I have the 2016 Legacy Vinyl with MOV runouts for Cohen. Haven't listened to it in awhile so don't remember what it sounded like. It was also put on their back in 2016 so it very well could be the sundazed as well because I'm sure I had no idea what I was doing with discogs at the time.

I played the RSD copy last night. Sounded great. Well done. Quiet when it should be and excellent sound. Better than my 2016 We Are Vinyl press.

MoFi had the same thing happen to both the Eagles and Van Halen licensing apparently -- they wanted to license one title from each to do a One Step and the labels said "we'll give you the title you want if you license 5 other albums too". They'll all sell out no matter what though.

It is funny to see the resale values getting lower and lower on the new One Steps. People are trying to sell their sealed Eagles one steps for $150 and not many people are biting now. Lots of people used to buy 2 copies of each one step either for trade or resale fodder. I bet that's gonna slow down soon on most titles.

Yeah eBay is flooded with those Eagles one steps lol

I bet some of the bigger titles like HC, Van Halen, and some of the Miles will still be pricey but at least not every one step is out of control. But they’re also pressing enough now that anyone who wants one in pre-order should be able to get one very easily.

Most of the one steps after Couldn't Stand The Weather have been way more affordable on the 2nd hand market.
 
Put in a pre-order for One Step Hotel California (not taking pre-orders for One of These Nights or The Long Run) and the first 2 VH albums today.. will likely grab the James Taylor as well but forgot while on the phone with MD...

I don't get the buy 2 thing personally, not with the Eagles or VH titles anyway.. I don't picture them getting that in demand tbh..

i'm torn too...debating placing an order on MoFi and cancelling if I see that my MD order changes to shippable...it was $85 last time.

I have it at 76 apparently, at the time they were still doing the 10%off for orders above $100. I am sending an email to MD, apparently people did that last time (for Bill Withers?) and they found copies for them.

Yea I ordered it on its own so it was something like $90 with tax. I shot MD an email too. But they have typically been a little delayed on restock news since I think it gets shipped to MoFi then they sent it out to MD.
