Also Ravi Shankar and Friends and there are two Warren Zevon titles on regular MoFi. Someone also said Blue Hawaii by Elvis might be done?

Bitches Brew is on that list twice unless I’m looking at it wrong.

Would be nice if they’d repress the regular Mofi version, don’t need the One Step and the $$ that comes with it.

Sadly Bitches Brew is only being done as a One Step. And In A Silent Way isn't being done on supervinyl or as a One Step.

I’m surprised by some of Mofi’s Miles Davis choices. Supervinyl of Jack Johnson and On the Corner over Filles de Kilimanjaro and Nefertiti. I have all of these on what is now regular Mofi vinyl, and their all great, but FdK and Nef. are really amazing sounding and seemingly more worthy (to me) than the other two both in terms of significance and sound quality. Pls don’t misunderstand me — JJ and OtC are also great albums and sound fantastic, just not majestic, which is how I think of the other two.

I’d sell my 45rpm 2-LP Mofi sets for single LP @ 33rpm Super Vinyl in a heartbeat.

Does anyone know the situation on the 2xLP Coltrane - My Favorite Things 60th anniversary reissue? Mastering and pressing details? I read the write up on Rhino and it said “from the original tapes” but was otherwise vague.

With Rhino stuff, I usually wait until it comes out and someone can share the deadwax. They are annoyingly vague with pressing details on everything

I think this is really good advice especially with both mono and stereo versions being part of it. Also, in the last few years Rhino has been pressing a lot of their releases at GZ which is NOT a good thing in most cases especially in the past year.

Its funny with GZ. It is like they get totally flumoxed when there is a specific run amount and specific colourway, but they do a reasonable job on bog standard black vinyl runs. But definitely good advice on waiting with Rhino.

In their Rhino Black series last year, some were Gray cuts, others were Bellman and others were unknown. They will grab whatever lacquer is around.

It does seem like KG cut a lacquer for that Aretha specifically for the Rhino Black series, unless he cut it a long time ago and it was never used. I'm surprised that Rhino consistently refuses to give pressing details even in their press releases. A lot of times, someone great cuts it and nobody knows until you open and look at the deadwax. There are a ton of great KG and CB releases on Rhino.
