Definitive Audiophile pressings

Yeah I thought so too but I wonder if it's to make sure people are not just flipping the disc itself. When it was first released people were reselling for silly money despite it not being out of stock at that point.

I mean it’s still a really strange stance to take. If they’re only sending out a copy of the disc is there really that much value in a single defective disk without covers? If anything isn’t it just going to be something someone PIFs or gives to a mate?

Even if they were sending out a full replacement package I’d find it hard to swallow such a moral high ground from a company that has been known to extort their customers for the last few copies of things that produce in their own website.

Yeah I completely agree, it's certainly weird. Especially if you have already send a video/photo of the warp/noise issue/etc.

You’d be surprised…I see people trying to sell single discs from sold out one steps for $100. And people buy them…

Still weird from AS though but I think it was a pretty isolated request. IIRC I think they asked you to send it back and if you refused they asked some people to destroy it.

yeah, but just might be my cleaning regime

I started using Audio-Technica's AT634a after it being successful for someone else here

US cleaner+vaccum+AT634a+another vacuum
seems to have worked for my other records, after 1-2 plays its pretty much silent. Hoping this is the case for the UHQR since I did not order it through AS and the chances of getting a replacement are slim
The UHQRs are very prone to static so not sure if you have some way to minimize that! My copy was luckily silent but as @Selaws said, there was a noisy batch.

MOFI/MD sent me replacement discs, bc the first was incorrect, and didn't ask another question.
They mailed out the wrong replacement disc the first time, doh.

Anyway, it's Muddy Waters One Step and they didn't even question me.

And who writes their promo shit - Donald Trump? Groovin is bubblegum pop, not in the league of Sgt. Pepper or even close! $59.99 for an unnecessary 45rpm of a fairly basic, simple recording like this? Barely 30 minutes on 2 45rpm discs?
I don't know about you....but all my favorite albums contain "peppy jazz-rock architecture marked by exuberant horns, lilting piano lines, and splashing rhythms".
