Definitive Audiophile pressings

Wow! Congratulations mate! That is both exciting and a very good reason to cut back!

Tell me about the space, down to one kallax cube remaining…

I really should look into digital again. My old pi burnt out and my old SACD player started acting up within a week of each other a few months back and I just haven’t even thought about replacing them since…
Biggest congrats, @MikeH !!

I don't check for two days and I'm already like 9 pages behind, but just chiming in to say I've been streaming more as well. I think the Node 2i sounds absolutely great, that coupled with Qobuz and Tidal, I'm a very happy camper in the digital department.

Yeah when my funds are in a better place I’m hoping to buy that MX-Stream and get back into streaming on my hifi and not just in my car. At some point in the future I hope to get back on the roon train too!

So I assume you cocaine the rim of the glass?

Well done young fella !! And they say you didn't have it in you .🍻
hahaha sorry!

I've got a little boomboom on the way, so trying to spend less money! Plus I'm just completely running out of space. I've also really been liking the Denafrips Ares DAC so been streaming more lately.

thanks y'all! i am hoping to pass the boomboom obsession on to future generations!

mea culpa, we get a lot of tourists who really do want to go, I didn't really catch the scarab boat joke
(although I did wonder why you'd take your girlfriend instead of just getting one there)
I grew up in Miami. I left in 1986 after high school (I’m old). Miami Vice was still on TV, Scarface was very fresh, and South Beach was just starting to take off after decades of decay. AMA Of relevance to N&G, I had a Technics turntable that’s probably now a vintage classic.

About a month after I turned 15 the airline I was flying back to South America went bankrupt and their planes were repossessed. But not until I'd flown from Detroit to Miami, so until the airline could find a way for me to get home they put me up alone in a shitty hotel a couple blocks from the Orange Bowl Stadium. I had no money but there was a Chinese buffet in the hotel with the same food on it from morning until night that I got two vouchers for each day. Despite my mom freaking out that I was there alone, I spent the couple weeks I was stuck there wandering around the area on foot. I've had a soft spot for Miami since then. It was a hell of an adventure for a 15 year old.

Congratulations @MikeH! Super exciting, and the challenge is on!

This is one of my favorite photos (though admittedly a very bad copy) of my young grandson checking out the rig I set up my son with before he was a dad (and that was put into storage shortly after this photo was taken :().
