Do you make stuff?

I don't live in Louisville, or even Kentucky for the matter but was asked to be involved with the show. It's going to be at a location called Portal. (Portal – Louisville)

I will be there on 5/25 because I'm driving the 10 hours to see my art actually hanging next to some of the artists in this show as my brain is still kind of processing it all.

Thank you to everyone who's ever shared a little thumb or heart or even some of your eyeballs time. It all means more than you can really imagine.

IMG_0606.jpegIMG_0607.jpegIMG_0605.jpegMy latest woodworking project was inspired by an Etsy listing. Buying online would have cost $300. All in materials here was around $100 and then countless hours of labor. That said, having gorgeous record display shelves that I handmade myself from raw walnut is priceless.

Working on a pretty big sewing project right now. I’m making a cushion cover and pillows for our bay window. I’m quilting it with 2.5 inch strips. Thus far, I have the bottom done, the top half done, two pillowcases complete and two fronts of pillowcases pieced together. Here’s a preview.

My wife is a quilter so we have lots of quilts and quilted pillow covers all over the house.

Evidently, we have painting sundays once a month now, I am informed by my wife and my kids. So this is the first thing I have ever painted as an adult, probably the first thing I have painted since I hit double digits:
