I enjoyed my Bronze. Y’all are a bit harsh.
In my system, the Bronze was bright as all get out. I think it doubled as an ultrasonic insect repellent.
(Ok that was indeed harsh- kinda like the Bronze).

regas are just like 20 dollar cartridges slightly modified)
thanks for the infoThe Rega Carbon ($60) is a rebadged $20 A/T. The rest of them are hand made by Rega in their own factory.

Maybe it was specifically the AudioEngine speakers. I just recall when I bought my Utrun and was looking at speakers, I looked into the AudioEngine powered speakers and kept finding post after post about humming/buzzing. Maybe things have changed in four years but it definitely steered me away from active speakers in my setup.I ran mine with powered speakers for a year with zero noise. Huh?

Explains why I can't find the posts anymore...There were a few members on the old forum that had hum with UTurns and powered speakers. We couldn’t solve it. UTurn had a “fix” that didn’t work.
Glad to see you are well.
I know @AnthonyI is eyeing a low output Opus3. @Yer Ol' Uncle D got his Gold3 set up and loves it. I upgraded phono stages (Sutherland Duo) and am thinking a low output Sonata3 or maybe a Master3 once funds recover a bit. I’ll say that the Gold3 is even better than I initially thought.
I see the order, I will get it shipped for you today...Thanks for the advice, I may have done a thing this morning...

As @Joe Mac said no Grado hum on the U-Turns. They (the U-turns) are notoriously noisy with powered speakers which is funny considering how much their advertising shows them paired up with powered speakers.
Musical Fidelity LX2-LPS MM/MC Phono Stage (Black)Looking to add a pre-amp to my setup! Currently have a Fluance RT85 running into a pair of Klipsch R-51pms. Anybody have recommendations for the best option under say $500, would also love a rec under $300 if it makes sense! The guys at Audio Advice recommenced this one:
On the link you sent...at the bottom... there is an article. The mofi studio that is on there is 300$ and will be the one recommended here along with the Pho 8.
That's good to know. I've been tempted to try one.The MoFi phono stages don’t do well with cartridges that have > 4mV output. @Ghost (unless he’s changed it) has an Ortofon 2m Blue. Those are hot as far as output. Ortofon says 5mV but they are really more like 7mV.
I’d go with the Musical Fidelity that @Chucktshoes recommended or a Vincent PHO-8.
