FWIW, for that true warm butter analogue sound, nothing beats actually using a good room temperature butter for coating purposes. Use salted butter if you want the funk and nothing but the funk.

I love my Gold3. I went from an Ortofon 2m Red to the Grado Gold3 and it was night and day. I actually can hear so many more details and the sound is so pleasing now.
