I'm also considering the Bryston BP-2 MM and MM / MC phono stage. They are made right here in Canadaand their warranty is apparently second to none. Jason carries the brand and is going to get me the pricings a little later on today.
Looks like a really nice option but looking at the list price over here it’s taking you into a whole new price range with a completely different set of much leaner and fitter sharks than what you’d been considering previously!
Edit: on U.K. prices it’s competing with the Moon 310 rather than 110 and isn’t far off the price of a Sutherland 20/20 for example.
Be aware that one of the founders/designers recently passed. I’m not sure how/if that affects things moving forward.I'm also considering the Bryston BP-2 MM and MM / MC phono stage. They are made right here in Canada

As much as I love mine and would probably say buy it, if you didn’t have an ocean to send it back over for warranty repairs, I’d probably be going for the moon if I was in your shoes.
Plus no import duties.

Yikes! I'm looking at $2300 plus tax for the BP2 MM and PS3 power supply and $3050 plus tax for BP2 MM / MC and PS3...not gonna happenProbably out of the running now that I found out you need to power it with the PS3 power supply.

I liked my Sphinx v2 a lot, but ended up going full tubes after about a year. No complaints with the Sphinx itself, just felt the 100w/ch was wasted on my speakers.
You should consider used tube amps in the same neighborhood.
