You just won’t get quite the same bass response without it.There’s a new pair of K Horns out now that are sealed at the rear. They don’t require corner placement like the ones pictured.
My late grandfather had an original pair of La Scalas. They’re a bit like Klipschorns that need a sub. Incredibly efficient, huge sound.Don’t let the photos fool you; each La Scala is only slightly smaller than a washing machine!
I’ve always wanted a projector but nowhere to actually set one up in our house! Which brand did you get out of curiousity?Okay I know this isn't AUDIO hardware. But it's kinda like, audio hardware ADJACENT. I finally got the projector upgrades I was looking to do at my place. And one of them's a laser projector and the picture is just, off the charts. I took this picture of a moving image projected on my screen, from my couch about ten feet away, with my phone. And it was a crappy Prime stream.

So I've got two in the house, the upstairs one is the laser, that's an Optoma UHZ50. The Man Cave has a BenQ X3000i which is an LED. It's nice but the Optoma beats it. Optoma, Epson, JVC and Sony are the big 4 in terms of consumer brands. There's other great manufacturers but the price goes up REAL quick.I’ve always wanted a projector but nowhere to actually set one up in our house! Which brand did you get out of curiousity?

NIGHTMather would totally take me to a Renaissance Fair just to fuck with me. I'd wake up with a crushing headache, in a forest, covered in filthy velvet rags and mead. Shortly afterwards I'd hear the faint sound of trumpets and barking and realize that I'm being hunted for sport. That’s impressive. I was intially wondering:
“Why is Mather at a renaissance fair? What can that possibly have to do with audio gear?”

I can help. I know a guy, uh, serf.Actually this kinda sounds vaguely fun. I might look into this.
I'll consult the Mather Family Almanac. I'm sure there's a secret handshake or something that can get this taken care of lickety split.I can help. I know a guy, uh, serf.
The correct answer is always a good bleeding...I'll consult the Mather Family Almanac. I'm sure there's a secret handshake or something that can get this taken care of lickety split.
Picking up his leather studded turntable plinth from the local leather tannerThat’s impressive. I was intially wondering:

Picking up his leather studded turntable plinth from the local leather tanner
that's partially why NightMather is so attracted to it!That thing was so fugly that there’s no way that would be allowed in chez Mather’s carefully curated mid century house!
I have a pretty nice OLED TV, but every time I watch a movie on my friend's projector it feels like a movie. I'm jealous of that.Okay I know this isn't AUDIO hardware. Is Medieval Times still open?Actually this kinda sounds vaguely fun. I might look into this.

I definitely toyed with the idea of splashing out on an ultra-short throw projector (we're in a townhouse so a standard projector setup isn't really in the cards). Couldn't quite make it work in our space, sadly.During covid, I put in a 2.35:1 screen.
Totally spoiled now.
