Inaugural spin on the Insight! Had to choose a BoomBoom!

Potentially! Lots of options for phono stages but I really like the Insight so far

Got my Darlington Labs MM-5 hooked up yesterday. Only got to test it out so far with the recent Sigur Ros ( ) re-issue and The Smile album. So far I can tell it's going to be a major improvement over the Mani. Should be able to spend some time this weekend getting more listens in.
Just leave it on. It’ll get a lot better at 72 hours. Leaving it on won’t hurt anything and it’ll use next to no electricity.

I've switched to a Bryston in my main rig, but I can't seem to let the Insight go just yet. I don't know what hold it has over me, but it's real.

I just acquired a used record flattener.
It's a 1961 Webster's Third New International Dictionary. It measures 13" x 9.5" x 4" and weighs 13.2 pounds. My dad won it for taking second place in a Hammond Times spelling bee a looong time ago.

Yep, you can use a VinylFlat this way as well, but it takes weeks to months.

I put mine between two masonite bats (ceramic things) and then put a flat of ammo on top.
I do a couple of weeks too.
Kinda works; helps on really bad ones, but doesn't make them totally flat.
Thinking about getting a heated system.
