I have been looking at that one but I'm so curious to get outside the Ortofon ecosystem. All I've ever heard on my system are Orts. Honestly if they hadn't raised the price of the AT ART9 by like 35% I'd be getting it hands down.. But at over $2000 CAD with a pretty lousy retip discount, it's kinda off my radar at this point.

Also, it wouldn’t be right to not also plug my personal favorite, the Hana ML. It will likely be the only MC cartridge I put on my Luxman. The Blue is a step up sonically, but the ML is a better value for me because its retip cost is easier to swallow.

NAD326BEE. On paper the 3050 seemed like a side-step, but it's really bringing some more detail and weight to the party than I expected.

Yeah if you use an external phono it pretty much ties you to transports and using its own DAC for anything digital. It’d be mad to buy an expensive CD/Streaming player to then be forced to bypass its in built DAC. Also rules out SACDs and DSD streaming, although that is a bit more niche.
If you just want a turntable and are happy to have CD/streaming transports through its own DAC then it looks like a really nice option.
