Without having to watch this video... Is the title just click bait? Does it really blow?
Yes, it does. It works off an air compresser and the linear tracking arm does too. It has a fifteen pound platter that doesn’t move at all until the “motor” is turned on. The video shows the guy from the manufacturer setting up the table. Seems like a giant pain in the ass. Plus it’s like a 12.5k table setup and he puts a $550 cart on it. I’m not knocking the cart, just saying when you shell that kind of money on your table, maybe the cart should be a little closer to its total? But what do I know my cart is like 3/4 the price of my table.

TLDR; it blows but not in the way the click-baity title suggests.

Yes. Although, he doesn’t know, it may blow in every category. He had not listened to the system when he made the video because he had the guy from the company do all that fiddling on a wobbly ass table so he could make the video. Audiophile YouTubers are a special lot.

I would genuinely love to see modernized linear trackers make their way back into consumer-grade tables.

Sort of like buying expensive speakers and using cheap speaker cables? :giggle:

To the point of the price difference, the audio on this video proves absolutely nothing. However, the commentary suggests that the finish between the Bergmann and the 1200G was close enough to take the Technics and put the difference to better uses. Note that the cartridges use on the Technics could cost more than the table!

Ya, $10K isn't chump change, but I agree, I was thinking it was going to be north of $20k when I was reading the article. I'm not usually a fan of the all glass/acrylic look, but there's something about this one that works for me. :)
I’m with you. With all these acrylic belt driven tables, we hear is a direct drive. That has potential to look really cool.
