As far as I know, Ground and Earth are two ways of saying the same thing. The rest was just me goofing.

Isolation puck question for y'all. What do you think about using them under the JBL 100 stands... any point at all considering how these stands operate?

Considering the speakers basically sit on foam runners that line the top of the stands I'm guessing I'd really just be decoupling the stands from the floor, rather than the speakers from the floor. Haven't really been able to find much online either way... Thoughts?
When I mounted my speakers to the wall, it was the single biggest improvement my wife noticed in upgrades and this was with less than ideal speaker placement. I think decoupling as much as possible will create the best performance.Isolation puck question for y'all. Talking about the speakers or the marriage?I think decoupling as much as possible will create the best performance.
speakers... marriage is fine... she puts up with me and I adore her.Talking about the speakers or the marriage?
I'm looking at the Isoacoustics website and they tend to indicate that it's better to go with pucks under the speakers on the stands rather than under the stands. But that would look dumb as hell with my speakers and I'm sceptical that it would do much considering they're leaned back on the stands and not sitting upright.Do the current feet screw out? If so I’d probably look at replacing them with the appropriate Gaia feet.
I’ve not seen much on using them with jbl stand but I’ve seen a few people rave about replacing the spikes in the Linton’s stands with them!

They made a real impact on my table. But um that's a whole different thing. lolYeah i figured the same when that was suggested to me too would destroy the look with the Lintons as well. The Gaia look quite nice under the Linton stand but it’s difficult to know whether they actually do make a difference there or whether there is a bit of self convincing by people who spent €600 on 8 fancy feet.

I mean I've heard the demo in person and unless they're faking the audio switch between the two speakers it undoubtedly CAN make a difference. But with mine leaning backwards on those stands and the Gaia having to kinda perch on the corners of it, seems like it would probably be pointless...Yeah i figured the same when that was suggested to me too would destroy the look with the Lintons as well. I can hear the sales pitch now, you need two pairs under each speaker and a third pair between the speaker and the brace piece on the back. SO SIX PAIRS MATHER!!!!I mean I've heard the demo in person and unless they're faking the audio switch between the two speakers it undoubtedly CAN make a difference. like how much blu-tack? I don't see why @Mather couldn't use pucks on the floor and use blu tack on the stand, it shouldn't be too visible especially with them shoved in the corner like that. You may want to experiment with balls of Blu-Tack before shelling out big Gaia dollars. The Blu-Tack is cheap and will isolate if that is a problem. But, it will look like crap.
If the Blu-Tack works for you, consider an upgrade to pucks on the floor. I use Blu-Tack to isolate my KEFs from their stands; works well in that application.
You simply want a ball of Blu-Tack that is large enough to support the weight of the stand and speaker. Silly Putty works in this way, too. Remember, this is just to ensure that isolation from the floor is the problem.like how much blu-tack? Oh. There's no problem, I'm just looking to spend money. Sounds great currently. Was just curious really, but I probably should have googled further before I posted and answered my own question...You simply want a ball of Blu-Tack that is large enough to support the weight of the stand and speaker. On the stand between the speaker, Blu-Tack could be a permanent solution. My Blu-Tack is invisible until you lift the speaker off the stand.
If you want to spend money just buy us all new gear, easyOh. There's no problem, I'm just looking to spend money. Sounds great currently. Was just curious really, but I probably should have googled further before I posted and answered my own question...
