I think I’d want more reviews and more time in the field before I trusted eversolo at this price point. I’d get their little DMP-A6 streamer in a heartbeat though.

I think at this point the way I'm looking at it is if I can get one for very cheap, I'll give it a shot. But otherwise I'll just hang on and use the money for the end game type 2 channel integrated like the Nu Vista 800.2. I have the DMP-A8 and it's been a solid performer for the 6 months I have had it. Very good DAC and a good analog preamp. It can serve as the centerpiece of a nice system.
The DMP-A6/A8 just got a firmware update today that adds Room correction and some other feature enhancements. Looking forward to trying these out.

Something of theirs is in my future but not in my now. Going to stick with the streaming I have for the foreseeable given I’ve just splurged on on the phono and somewhere down the line look at an android streaming solution. Already having a DAC I’d love for them or fiio, or someone else, to launch a transport.

What about a WiiM Ultra streamer? I really enjoy my Eversolo, which I use just as a streamer, but for less than half the cost that WiiM looks mighty attractive.

D’oh. I just remembered @Joe Mac uses Apple Music now and probably wants that natively. So the WiiM wouldn’t satisfy there. Still an awesome unit though.

Yeah airplay 2’s hatefulness has me wanting something native eventually and the Apple one deal with the tv and storage is too good to think about going to someone else for streaming music, which I mainly do in my car anyway!

Hence I don’t think they’re really in it for audiophiles, they also did away with the headphone jack first. They just wanted a techy edge and probably needed all that hi res stuff done to get the immersive sound stuff built, which it sounds like they are very much the leader on, at least in the portable realm. They also want you to just have their gear so they aren’t trying to play nice with other stuff.
