How bad is GameStop with preorders shipped to home?
I’m assuming I will get Zelda on Monday as I don’t have any kind of progress / tracking from GS.
I have only ever done Best Buy pre orders and get it on release day.
update: figured it out. But it hasn't shipped yet so probably won't get it until the end of next weekhas anyone pre-ordered anything from Best Buy before? Will it ship prior to the release date or after? waiting 5-7 days will be excruciating
I ordered this 2 years ago before it even had a title . Also I believe I used a guest order/account because when I log into my Best Buy account I cannot find it. I recieved an update email last fall with additional release date info, and of course an update to say it has an actual title (lol) so I think it should come.

I'm saving $10 because I pre-ordered it 2 years ago, way before Nintendo made the MSRP $70 for it instead of $60, so I'll live without it for a weekYes, same with mine. But you know what, that makes sense now that I think about it. I'm thinking about you Pokemon Games.
Nintendo doesn't get their games to stores until the day of release. Meaning, GameStop doesn't yet have our copies to ship.
I've learned that with the Nintendo games, that if you want it on release day, you have to pick up in store. No matter where you order it from, Amazon, GameStop, Bull Moose, it won't ship until the afternoon on release day.
And in some cases, local shops don't have their copies to sell until late morning on release day when UPS deliveries them.
I still haven't received shipping notice from Amazon but my order says arriving tomorrow... so we'll see about that.
man am I speed running though BotW...all Divine Beasts done, 2 more memories to find, and I guess I can go fight Gannon. I know I'm NOWHERE near seeing all the game has to offer, but I'm working on a deadline here with TotK releasing tomorrow!. ha ha
currently TotK is sitting neck and neck with BotW on Metacritic
The only reason why the score isn't higher is because one of the critics gave it a 60I still haven't received shipping notice from Amazon but my order says arriving tomorrow... so we'll see about that.

I get the annoyance with the rain but at the same time that's what made BOTW such a cool game! The fact that you had to deal with the various elements while exploring the vast land of Hyrule, made it so unique and fun!I've watched a fair amount of TotK reviews today, and so many talk about weapon degradation as one of, if not the main complaint of BotW, and playing through it I find that I'm way more often having to drop weapons because my inventory is full rather than weapons breaking on me... yes, it can be a bit of a nuisance for a weapon to break in the middle of a combo, but here's a short list of items that I think are far more annoying than weapon degradation:
1. rain. every time I'm trying to climb something it feels like the game says, you're going to need to sit though a storm before you can climb that tower, cliff, etc...
2. horses. first off I don't have the Ancient Saddle so I don't use horses much anyway, but I have the hardest time keeping them from doing something very dumb. having a horse you spent time to catch and try to ride to a stable to register, only to have it decide to gallop off a bridge into a spot it gets completely stuck in when said stable is in view made me want to toss my controller across the room.
3. motion controls. ugh, any shrine you need to control a ball through a maze by tilting the switch/controller can rot in hell.
4. spider Link. why does Link have to start climbing the second he comes into contact with a wall? the amount of times trying to escape a guardian or other enemy, only to get stuck in a quick climbing animation, was way more than I'd care for.
I'm sure there's more but one thing I'd never complain about is the weapon degradation...
honestly, rain is probably the least annoying item on the list... bit it's still more annoying than weapon degradationI get the annoyance with the rain but at the same time that's what made BOTW such a cool game!
