Everything Video Games!

There's actually some cool/practical physical rewards on Nintendo for those of you with a points balance.

I snagged the Holiday Ornament and Detective Pikachu Cup Koozie. I also would have considered the Kirby Canvas Pouch and TOTK Keychain but don't have enough points for everything. Still need to pay $7.50 for shipping unfortunately 😒

Nintendo has it's own "Wrapped" once again. I played way more Switch this year than last for obvious reasons.

Having had my Switch and Nintendo account for a total of 5 days, they still sent me a "wrapped". :ROFLMAO:

EDIT: LMFAO I had to view it on my phone since Nintendo is blocked at work and this is all it had.

I bought Baldur's Gate III for Xbox last night so I could play today. Uninstalled Starfield to make it fit, no regrets. Two hours in and Starfield feels like a sick joke Bethesda pulled on us compared to this game. It's instantly fun. Looks amazing. Already am excited to replay it.

This is the game that makes me want to upgrade to a PS5.

I want to play BG3 so bad, but it's $70 on Playstation, and I'm waiting for it to drop even a little bit. I know it's something I'll play for a very long time.

I'm enjoying Disco Elysium. Extremely funny and very dense, loving the writing and can't wait to go deeper.

Wish there were more hours in the day, there's so much other new stuff to play I haven't gotten yet. Mario Wonder, Spiderman 2, Alan Wake 2, and Pikmin 4, and I've recently thought about finally getting Death Stranding, all while fighting the urge to do another Persona 5 run with Royal.

I'm still debating if I want to give this game a go or not.

Everyone here think it's worth it?

I think it's a masterpiece. What gives you pause?

I haven't played any of the other games in the series. So with that said, i'm unfamiliar with the game. I'm worried it will be like Eldin Ring, punishing and no clear direction on what I'm supposed to do and where to go.

No, think of it as a tabletop role-playing session. The maps are large, but fully crafted, and every location has a purpose. If you wander, you will find direction. The game gives you a lot of latitude to accomplish your objectives in creative ways, but it's always clear what those objectives are.

You don't have to have played the other games to enjoy this one. Like, at all. I'm sure half the people who bought and are playing it were under five when the last game in the series came out.

There is even a difficulty setting they makes it mostly a story game with little chance of dying if you mostly want to play it for the narrative. It really is one of the best games ever made. And definitely unique enough from the previous two that you can jump right into this one with no trouble.

I really dug Dredge, which would be an easy one for your shorter game windows. Fishing sim meets eldritch horror.
Picked up Dredge last night and I already love the lo-fi simplicity and "management" parts of the game. I can tell what people were saying about the horror aspect since the first time I stayed out fishing a little too long and it got dark, I was hitting rocks left and right that came from out of nowhere (I didn't think to buy a light...). Then something "slithered" into my hold and I nearly panicked. I haven't even ventured into the other towns yet, but I can tell this one is really going to open up...
