What have you heard.Leaks on the Switch successor are everywhere this morning, guys. Official announcement has to be imminent
The chinese manufacturer stuff mainly. Apparently the 3D models that were posted are probably fake, but the actual pictures of hardware are real. And the specs line up with a leak from a few months ago. Going to run basically like a handheld PS4.What have you heard.
I did some googling and all I could find was the following.
A well known leaker who predicted the PS5 Pro price and launch date says the Switch 2 will come in 2 sku's with a base price of $400. It will be announced in October 2024 along side game bundles and is expected to launch no earlier than April 2025.
The first game we know of for the new switch is "My Time at Evershine". The developers of this game issued a press release announcing the game recently that said the title will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and “future Nintendo platforms yet to be announced”.
And overnight on a Chinese forum, someone posted 3D printed enclosures and Joycoms that are based on leaked designs of the new switch.
Yeah, I've been tracking the development on enthusiast forums for a while now. Should be very capable hardware. Pretty excited, as I adore my Switch but performance is getting really creaky. The chinese manufacturer stuff mainly. Apparently the 3D models that were posted are probably fake, but the actual pictures of hardware are real. And the specs line up with a leak from a few months ago. Going to run basically like a handheld PS4.

For that price? Dear sweet lord no... I think I'll be holding off till the ps6Anybody manage to snag a 30th Anniversary PS5 Pro?
Idk man. 40% price increase for no disc drive and updated specs, but without any fresh software to really take advantage of them. Definitely not good.Honestly $699 for the Pro isnt bad
Sounds like much of the usual scalping occurred again. Only saw controllers (non-Edge ver) and regular PS5 Pros Sony’s store at 9:15am PST.Anybody manage to snag a 30th Anniversary PS5 Pro?
I've always been a late adopter for new consoles, and they've done nothing for me: games kept (keep!) getting released on PS4 as well, so there was no real hurry. Now they have the Pro out and the price isn't appealing in the least. I don't want to pay less for the version that's been available this whole time when there's a better one out, but I don't want to splurge on the Pro, which will be outdone by the PS6 in a few years. They keep doing things that make it appealing to hold out longer.Four years after PS5 launch and Sony still didn’t learn how to sell to real consumers.
