Everything Video Games!

Happy Anniversary to the World's Greatest Gameshow and the best shooter out there!!

quite frankly, it's pretty embarrassing how much I played this game over the last year (not even because I missed the first half of Season 1), but it's just the best!!!!

can't wait for Season 5 next in a few days!!!

You guys inspired me to dig through my Xbox, Playstation and Steam archives to look at what I've played and put together a similar list. Here's my top 25, also in no particular order:

  • Bioshock
  • Mass Effect 2
  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
  • Civilization (I can't pick just one iteration, although III is the one that hooked me for life)
  • Batman: Arkham City
  • Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
  • Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal
  • God of War
  • Ghost of Tsushima
  • Return of the Obra Dinn
  • Red Dead Redemption 2
  • Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
  • Portal 2
  • South Park: The Stick of Truth
  • Marvel Ultimate Alliance
  • Diablo II
  • Jade Empire
  • Psychonauts
  • Duke Nuke'em
  • Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
  • Horizon Zero Dawn
  • Control
  • Fable II
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
  • LittleBigPlanet
Honorable mention should go to two Commodore 64 games I played a LOT: Archon and Summer Games. But that's pretty far into the wayback machine so holding them out.

Ugh, why are people on Pokemon TCG Pocket battles so rude?

I just lost three battles in a row, and still I thanked the winners. The battles weren't even bad, yet none of them bothered to send a thanks back.

I just need shop tickets for Chansey wonder picks!!

I won't pretend like I send thanks for every battle (I don't reward OP meta cheesers). I also don't use EX cards in my own decks because they're cheap. So these three a-holes beat a deck with no EX that performed well enough and decided nah, no thanks. WHY?

I always give thanks on battles and wonder picks. I noticed 1 out of 3 battles people don't give me thanks. Especially when it's a given I'm going to loose and don't concede. Are you supposed to concede if you likely won't win instead of play the game through?

I notice for example, if I use a fire deck, and my opponent has a grass deck they always immediately concede.

Maybe that's why? It's not like I was stalling, and I could see a path to win on those particular battles within two to three turns if my draws were right. (Just added you. My nick is Corvinus on there!)

I think it might be, people are just trying to get the EXP as fast as possible. And playing a match to the end where the odds are against you frustrates them as you don't have the curtsy to concede and are wasting their time. In other words, rude gaming culture.

My partner started Alan Wake II finally. I was in the other room when the song at the end of Chapter 1 started playing. My ears perked up immediately, and I ran into the living room shouting "Is that Sin Fang???" Turns out I was right! The background vocals and production value were dead giveaways. One of my fave producers. Song's a total banger, too.

Apple and Sony have apparently entered a partnership to bring PS VR2 controllers to the Vision Pro.

Currently the PS VR2 controllers are only sold with the PS VR2 and not sold stand alone. It is expected that within the first half of 2025 Apple will begin selling stand alone PS VR2 controllers in Apple Stores.

Picked up Dave the Diver last night and something about this game...

The little moments where I laugh out loud because of the unexpected humor or sudden change in tone. The art style and music are fun. Maybe it's because I already played Dredge, but the mechanics and strategy are pretty intuitive. Load times are a bit annoying, especially if you die underwater and immediately want to go back diving... The spear gun has taken some getting used to, but it does make it challenging enough.

Definitely worth the $15 (had some points that were expiring...)

I started it a couple weeks back and couldn't put it down for like four days straight.

The game is such an odd treasure trove. Has practically everything in it.

Sadly, I missed out on the free Godzilla DLC (the license expired before Thanksgiving). Hoping that comes back.

I hit credits last week without encountering the Dredge DLC. Seems like that's linked to in-game weather patterns.

Oh man, speaking of Grass v. Fire. Got the Charizard Ex Rental deck a while back and figured it would be a good choice for the Venusaur Ex event. That deck is TERRIBLE. I ended up only wining 3/10 vs. the Expert deck. The three I won all got Charizard out, the rest I was stuck in Bad Draw Rat Hell. Meanwhile, my autobuilt fire deck has beat the expert deck 6/8 times, so twice is good in 2 less battles. The two I lost came down to unlucky coin flips from the Kangaskhan.

Rapidash/Ninetails deck has been my Venusaur crusher. Magmar and Salazzel on support. Moltres Ex is in there too but really just takes up space. Might swap it out for Giovanni for the times 10 extra hp coulda come in clutch and I've spent my Blaines.

I had to laugh a bit about the new event encouraging the CHEESIEST of meta decks with the whole win streak motivation. Hoping new boosters bring some gd variety to this and soon.

Yeah, I have been having a lot of luck with the Rapidash/Ninetails deck as well. My support cards have been Centiskorch and Sizzlipede.

And yes, whether or not I win all comes down to coin flips from Kangaskhan. I went a stretch where the coin flips were 2 heads every time for a good stretch. And I was only fighting Kengaskhans until until all my good Pokemon were killed and then I was up against Venusaur EX that could one hit kill me.

This new even sucks. I was just playing some one that had deck entirely made of Abralutions. At one point they were able to use the special ability to put my Pokemon to sleep every turn and I couldn't battle. And they had 4 changes to do it, because all their benched Pokemon had the same ability by the end of the match and they could keep trying until they got heads. lol

I got a top 100 etched out over the weekend by digging through my collection and games beaten list. At around 90 it turned into games that I'd call some version of an 8 so I've added multiple games from the series back in while only allowing 2 per. Yes, I have too much time on my hands this time of year.

Also, somebody asked about Limbo-- I have a tattoo that uses it's art style. It's on here.

1. Conker's Bad Fur Day (N64 version had bomb multiplayer, Xbox remake is the version of the single player that holds up)
2. The Last of Us (PS3 originally, obviously has been remade for PS5)
3. Mass Effect 2 (Xbox 360, but the trilogy remaster is very solid)

Did two numbers get dropped from your code? Coming up short.

The Chanseys have decided I had enough of the Bulbasaur event, too. Not a single Chansey Pick all day. My Wonder Pick meter is almost full again.
6275238383577218 is what gets copied from my friend id. Not sure
